Geeta has created a theory and practice of harnessing the power of the human singing voice and the Quartz Crystal Singing Bowls to promote wellness and empowerment from the inside out. COMMUNITY OUTREACH
As an important complement to her teaching and performance career, Geeta donates her time and talent to humanitarian causes. She has performed extensively through educational outreach bringing opera into schools around the country. She is also a proud project leader and roster artist for the charitable organization Sing for Hope. She has been also been honored to donate her time and talent to The Harmony Project and Creative Visions Foundation.
FILM & TELEVISION WORK
Geeta was honored to have sung the main song in the short film MARKET HOURS for the The Weinstein Company and Lexus Short Films. The song is a beautiful aria composed by Grammy-award winning composer Christopher Tin with lyrics by Jon Goldman. The song is featured in the climax of the film (7:37) and in the credits. The film has traversed 20+ film festivals worldwide and has garnered several awards.
Geeta's voice was featured on an episode of SpikeTV's Lip Sync Battle during a performance by Channing Tatum! Listen for the operatic intro to Beyonce's "Run the World!"
