"The challenges that come up in the lesson carry through to life. They come up as they could during a therapy session -- intense fear of being wrong or doing something wrong causes me to face it directly in the lesson  [singing an incorrect note, learning a new song, etc]. Certain fears surrounding failure that I’ve not been able to release can be addressed in a more tangible and specific​ way during lessons."
